Job Description:
ACCOMPANIST
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Music or related field preferred.
Awareness and sensitivity to the needs of others.
Must enjoy working with young children.
Must be able to work cooperatively and creatively with Music Director.
Must share love of music.
REPORTS TO:
Leadership and Performance for Strings Director JOB GOAL:
The Accompanist will support the rehearsals and performances of the LaPS Program.
PERFORMANCE
Responsibilities:
Attend rehearsals as assigned to work with students on solo repertoire with the Director.
Accompany on the piano as piano is needed for large ensemble rehearsals.
Accompany for performances and events.
Assist the Director in meeting needs of students or other assistance.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Compensation will be based on the board-approved Oldham County Schools Arts Center salary schedule.
Adopted:
July 23, 2018 Recommended Skills Leadership Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
